Wisconsin + DESTINATION wedding photography

I think September might be my favorite month of the year. The days are filled with sunshine and warmth from summer and slowly settle into a distant yet familiar chill in the evenings as it begins to turn to fall.

September is a month of change. And I always feel like there is a somber shift in mood when the seasons change. Almost like a bittersweet ending mixed with the excitement of new beginnings.

I was SO excited for Haley + John’s engagement session this September. We hiked up to Brewer’s Hill in Downtown Milwaukee where their first apartment was (seriously how cute?!) and ended the night in the Bay View area. They always used to come up and watch the sunset on the hill together and wanted to incorporate this important location into their session.

These two were seriously a dream to photograph. They came with all the goofy smiles, giggles, and fun energy to make this session one to remember!

Haley even brought the cutest props to have a little picnic!! And of course, some wine to sip on while they reminisced about all the wonderful memories they have together over the years.
