I’m Mariah Jones, a documentary wedding photographer with an editorial eye, based in Madison, Wisconsin, and photographing celebrations in Chicago, across the Midwest, and in destinations including California, Colorado, Jackson Hole, New York, and beyond.
My approach is rooted in observation and guided by intention, allowing each wedding to unfold naturally while staying attuned to the moments that make it uniquely yours. From thoughtfully curated details to the unfiltered joy on the dance floor, I'm drawn to the fleeting moments and genuine emotions that reflect you and your day.
Using both digital and film, I create photographs that feel timeless and enduring—images that capture the soul of a day, carry its feeling forward, and become part of your story.

Every celebration holds a balance of intention and spontaneity—from the considered details and personal choices to the fleeting, unplanned moments that give the day its character. I’m drawn to photographing both, creating imagery that feels honest, artful, and true to who you are. My presence moves intuitively between gentle guidance and quiet observation, creating space for you to feel at ease, connect naturally, and remain present as the day unfolds. I take on a select number of couples each year, allowing me to offer a focused, personal experience for those who value connection and care deeply about how their story is preserved.

Mariah currently lives in Madison, WI with her partner, Jason, and their dog, Abby. Inspired by fashion, family and friends, wellness, sunshine, nostalgia, and travel—she's always drawn to the beauty in the everyday and the moments that live in-between.
