Summer Estate Wedding Celebration in Rural Wisconsin

Maddie and Patrick’s August wedding was less about tradition and more about creating a celebration that felt entirely their own. Hosted on Maddie’s family land, the setting offered a relaxed, private atmosphere complete with a clubhouse, pool, and a winding flower-lined path leading to a beloved old oak tree. Just days before the wedding, three acres of sunflowers planted by a neighboring family friend came into bloom, transforming the landscape into a vibrant, late-summer backdrop for the day.
Their celebration unfolded more like an elevated outdoor gathering than a formal affair, giving guests space to move freely, connect, and soak in the warm summer evening. With family traveling in from Ireland, heartfelt toasts, laughter across the fields, and an easy, joyful energy shaped the night. Fireworks, candlelight, and dancing under the open sky brought the celebration to a close — a wedding that felt deeply personal, grounded in family and place, and fully reflective of who they are together.
